What does Michael Jackson have in common with 1588 inmates in the Phillipines?

Nothing… except this rather inspirational collection of videos of inmates at a Philippine prison practicing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and even Sister Act hits!

We deduced that the 1,588 inmates in the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Cebu, Philippines decided to throw their old, boring PE routines out the window and embrace the zombies, rappers, choreographers and video vixens in themselves. Here they are at practice! These are not the final routines, and definitely not punishment! Just a few teasers. We especially like the “Canon in D- Rock Version” and the “Sister Act – Hail holy queen” with real-life inmate-nuns.

You can actually call them and leave your requests with the really nice Filipino secretary.

So the moral of this story? With excellent customer service, and a remarkable product, the Philippine prison system has completely lost its mind. And it. Is. Awesome.
